Universitas Prasetiya Mulya recently graduated over 900 students at a ceremony held in Jakarta on 14th December 2017. The event saw the latest batch of students from the Master of Management programme as well as undergraduates from the School of Business and Economics officially conclude their studies. As such, the recent graduates are well-prepared to become the next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs that will positively impact industries both nationally and regionally.
Prominent attendees at the event included Rector of Universitas Prasetiya Mulya Prof. Dr. Djisman Simandjuntak, Mr Edwin Soeryadjaya as Vice Chairman of the Prasetiya Mulya Foundation and Prof. Dr. Lim Chong Yah from the National University of Singapore. Professor Lim gave a keynote speech on national economic development and the challenges facing Indonesia amidst rapid industrialisation. He noted the country’s focus on building infrastructure and fostering innovation to significantly raise employment and gross domestic product. Moreover, the government’s current economic and employment policies — most notably fiscal and social reforms — are seen as important steps in progressively reducing inequality and poverty; crucial aspects of sustained economic growth.
Among the 900 students at the ceremony, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya highlighted the achievements of some of its outstanding graduates. Mr Stephanus Tanudjaja attained a GPA of 4.00 in the Master of Management programme and Ms Sacarissa Salim achieved a 3.91 GPA for her undergraduate major in Accounting. Such accomplishments are a result of the university’s support in the form of resources, facilities and guidance to enable students to successfully fulfil their full potential.
The substantial number of graduates at this year’s event demonstrates Universitas Prasetiya Mulya's continuous efforts to push its students and thus produce individuals who are ready to excel in driving the country forward.
