On 21st March 2017, leading higher education institution, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with renowned local company Cinovasi Rekaprima that is targeted to strengthen the already cutting-edge learning resources of the School of Applied STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Cinovasi Rekaprima is a consulting firm with expertise in information technology and operation technology, namely in automation, and thus the company serves as the ideal partner for Universitas Prasetiya Mulya in order to strengthen its School of Applied STEM's initiatives. As a university that actively engages with industry players, the latest MOU signing demonstrates Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s upper-hand in minimising the gap between higher education institutions and the business sector. The MOU was signed by Prof. Janson Naiborhu as Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s Dean of School of Applied STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and Mr Jusan Qithri as Director of Cinovasi Rekaprima alongside prominent attendees including Prof. Yudi Samyudia, Ph.D. as Vice Rector I of Academic Affairs at Universitas Prasetiya Mulya.
In looking to better encourage enrolled students to provide innovative business solutions in the field of science and technology, the partnership thus encompassed three core aspects. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya is set to advance its knowledge and technological capacity in addition to partaking in research activities in software engineering, automated systems engineering, business analytics, and renewable energy among other fields. Moreover, Universitas Prasetiya Mulya and its partner will also jointly utilise each party’s respective facilities as well as make available internship opportunities and guest lecture classes for active students. These measures thus illustrate Universitas Prasetiya Mulya’s effective learning experience which is tailored to hone in on knowledge and applicable skills. Universitas Prasetiya Mulya hopes that its strategic partnership with Cinovasi Rekaprima will enable the university to produce the future generation of skilled and professional engineers with the potential to create new job opportunities in Indonesia.
